“Our experience with Ashton from start to finish was a good and effective collaborative effort. On planning, all proposed changes to the house plans, which Ashton had designed, we found he was good with visualizing the changes and how to incorporate those changes into the plans. We were always able to have open conversations regarding proposed changes as to level of difficulty, aesthetics, cost, etc. We always felt we shared a good give and take on those topics.

When we first met Ashton, we were very pleased with his experience and his design knowledge.  We own a wholesale building products company and have built several houses.   He was very open to letting us supply some of our own material.  We wanted to incorporate stone on the house.  Tami became reluctant to use it because of it being at the beach.  She didn’t, want it to look like it belonged in the mountains.  Ashton encouraged her to go ahead with the stone, and now it’ at the top of the list of things we love about the house.  Ashton has a very good rapport with the ARC on Seabrook Island, which became invaluable.  We built our house during the Covid pandemic.  This could have made the build unbearable, especially with all the delays and material shortages, but with Ashton’s expertise and connections we were still able to build the house in 13 months.  Ashton’s eye for detail was unbelievable, attention to the critical elements were always in top priority.
